Lorenzo Da Ponte
Lorenzo Da Ponte was an Italian, later American, opera librettist, poet, and Roman Catholic priest. He is best known for his collaboration with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, for whom he wrote the libretti for three of the most famous operas: 'The Marriage of Figaro', 'Don Giovanni', and 'Così fan tutte'.
