Salvatore Quasimodo

Salvatore Quasimodo was an Italian author and poet, born on August 20, 1901, in Modica, Sicily, Italy. He was a prominent figure in the Italian literary movement known as Hermeticism and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1959. Quasimodo's poetry is known for its lyrical and evocative language, exploring themes of nature, love, and the human condition. He passed away on June 14, 1968, in Naples, Italy.
