Nathan Zach

Nathan Zach was an influential Israeli poet, known for his modernist Hebrew poetry. Born on December 13, 1930, in Berlin, Germany, he immigrated to Mandatory Palestine in 1936. Zach's work is characterized by its innovative use of language and form, and he played a significant role in shaping contemporary Hebrew poetry. He was also a professor of Hebrew literature and won several awards for his literary contributions, including the Israel Prize for Literature in 1995. Nathan Zach passed away on November 6, 2020.
