Anne Moody

Anne Moody was an American author, born on September 15, 1940, in Mississippi. She is best known for her autobiography 'Coming of Age in Mississippi' which details her experiences growing up in the rural South and her involvement in the Civil Rights Movement. Moody's work provides a personal perspective on the struggles for racial equality and her active participation in pivotal events like the Woolworth's lunch counter sit-in in Jackson, Mississippi. She passed away on February 5, 2015.
