Walter Dean Myers

Walter Dean Myers was an American writer of children's books and young adult literature. He wrote more than one hundred books including picture books and nonfiction, and was best known for young adult literature. His works include 'Fallen Angels,' 'Monster,' and 'Harlem.' Myers won multiple awards for his contributions to literature, including the Michael L. Printz Award and the Coretta Scott King Award for African-American authors. He was also the National Ambassador for Young People's Literature. His writing often explored themes of identity, adolescence, and personal growth.
