Áron Tamási

Áron Tamási was a Romanian author of Hungarian ethnicity, best known for his novels and plays that depict the life and culture of Székely Hungarians in Transylvania. Born on September 20, 1897, in Farkaslaka (now Lupeni, Romania), he gained recognition for his lyrical and evocative prose, rich in folkloric elements. His most famous work is the novel 'Ábel' trilogy, which includes 'Ábel in the Forest', 'Ábel's Youth', and 'Ábel's Spring'. Tamási's writing often explored themes of nature, tradition, and the struggle for national identity. He passed away on May 26, 1966.
