Robert Traver

Robert Traver is the pen name of John Donaldson Voelker, an American author, lawyer, and jurist. He is best known for his novel 'Anatomy of a Murder' which was published in 1958. The book became a bestseller and was later adapted into a successful film directed by Otto Preminger. Voelker's work often reflected his deep affinity for fly fishing and the outdoors, as well as his experiences in the legal profession.
