Betty Bao Lord

Betty Bao Lord is an American author and civic activist of Chinese descent. She is best known for her novel 'Spring Moon' (1981), set in pre-revolutionary China, which was an international bestseller and American Book Award nominee. Lord has also written non-fiction works, including 'Legacies: A Chinese Mosaic' (1990), and has been involved in various cultural and political causes, particularly those related to U.S.-China relations and human rights.
