Alice Dunbar-Nelson

Alice Dunbar-Nelson (July 19, 1875 – September 18, 1935) was an American poet, journalist, and political activist. Part of the Harlem Renaissance, she was known for her essays, short stories, and poetry that addressed the complexities of African-American life. She was also an advocate for women's rights and the suffrage movement.
