R.D. Wingfield

R.D. Wingfield was an English author and radio dramatist best known for creating the character of Detective Inspector Jack Frost, who was the protagonist in his series of crime novels. His most famous work, 'Frost at Christmas,' was the first to feature DI Frost. Wingfield's books were later adapted into the television series 'A Touch of Frost' starring David Jason. Despite his success, Wingfield was known to be a private individual and rarely gave interviews.
