Guy Endore

Guy Endore, born Samuel Goldstein and also known as Harry Relis, was an American author and screenwriter. Born on July 4, 1900, in Brooklyn, New York, he is best known for his historical novel 'The Werewolf of Paris' (1933), which became a classic in werewolf literature and was adapted into the film 'The Curse of the Werewolf' in 1961. Endore's work often touched on social issues, and he was blacklisted during the McCarthy era. He wrote a number of screenplays in Hollywood and was also known for his biography of the Haitian revolutionary leader Toussaint L'Ouverture. Guy Endore passed away on February 12, 1970.
