Alexander Laing

Alexander Laing (1903–1976) was an American author known for his historical novels and works on maritime history. He is perhaps best known for his book 'The Sea Witch', a tale of the clipper ship era. Laing was also a lecturer and an expert on nautical subjects, with a particular interest in the lore and history of the sea.
