A.B. Facey

A.B. Facey (Albert Barnett Facey) was an Australian writer, born on 31 August 1894 and passed away on 11 February 1982. He is best known for his autobiographical work 'A Fortunate Life', which describes his early life as an orphan, his experiences as a farmer, his time as a soldier during the Gallipoli campaign of World War I, and his life in Western Australia. The book is celebrated for its depiction of the Australian spirit and the hardships of rural life in the early 20th century.
