Robert Baden-Powell

Robert Baden-Powell was a British Army officer, writer, founder of the Scout Movement and first Chief Scout of The Boy Scouts Association. Born on February 22, 1857, he became a national hero after his defense of the town of Mafeking during the Second Boer War. He later wrote 'Scouting for Boys' which became the basis for the Scout Movement, aiming to develop young people physically, mentally, and spiritually.
