John J. Pershing

John J. Pershing was a senior United States Army officer. He is most famous for serving as the commander of the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) on the Western Front in World War I, from 1917 to 1918. He was also honored with the title General of the Armies, the highest possible rank in the United States Army. While known for his military service, he is not widely recognized as an author in the literary sense, so his works primarily consist of military reports and professional documentation related to his military career.
