Thomas Harry Williams (May 19, 1909 – July 6, 1979) was an American historian who taught at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge from 1941 to 1979. He is perhaps best known for American Civil War study, Lincoln and His Generals (1952), a Book of the Month Club selection in 1952, and Huey Long (1969), a study of Louisiana politician Huey Pierce Long, Jr., 1970 winner of both the National Book Award in History and Biography and the Pulitzer Prize for Biography or Autobiography.
