Peter Mark Roget
Peter Mark Roget was a British physician, natural theologian, and lexicographer. He is best known for publishing the 'Thesaurus of English Words and Phrases' in 1852, a comprehensive classification of synonyms that is still widely used today. Roget was born on January 18, 1779, and passed away on September 12, 1869.
