Shane Bauer
Shane Bauer is an American journalist, author, and former prisoner. He is known for his work as an investigative reporter and his experience being held in captivity in Iran with two other Americans after they were detained while hiking near the Iran-Iraq border in 2009. Bauer has written for various publications and is the author of the book 'A Sliver of Light,' which recounts his time in Iranian prison. He has also reported on issues such as prison conditions and the private prison industry in the United States.
