The Interrogation by J. M. G. Le Clezio

"The Interrogation" is a narrative about a man named Adam Pollo, a former student and possible deserter from the military, who is living alone in a seaside town. Throughout the story, Adam's mental state deteriorates as he struggles with existential questions, social isolation, and an inability to distinguish between reality and his own thoughts.
