The Recognition of Sakuntala by Kālidāsa

The Recognition of Sakuntala is a well-known Sanskrit play by Kālidāsa. Its date is uncertain, but Kalidasa is often placed in the period between the 1st century BC and 4th century AD. The Sanskrit name means "pertaining to abhi-jñâna-Śakuntalā", which means "token-recognized-Śakuntalā", so a literal translation could be Of Śakuntalā recognized by a token.
