Giovanni Boccaccio

Giovanni Boccaccio was an Italian writer, poet, correspondent of Petrarch, and an important Renaissance humanist. He is particularly noted for his work 'The Decameron', a collection of novellas that had a significant impact on literature and the development of the Italian language.
