Manuel Mujica Lainez

Manuel Mujica Lainez was an Argentine novelist, essayist, and short story writer, known for his modernist take on historical fiction. His work often featured a sophisticated, baroque style and explored themes of fantasy, mythology, and the supernatural, as well as Argentine history and culture. Some of his notable works include 'Bomarzo', a novel that inspired an opera, and 'The Wandering Unicorn'. Mujica Lainez was also a member of the Argentine Academy of Letters.
