Erika L. Sánchez

Erika L. Sánchez is an American poet, novelist, and essayist. She is best known for her debut young adult novel 'I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter', which was a finalist for the National Book Award for Young People's Literature. Sánchez has also published a collection of poems titled 'Lessons on Expulsion' and her work often explores themes of identity, culture, and the experiences of Mexican-American women.
