Zahari Stoyanov

Zahari Stoyanov, also known as Zahariy Stoyanov, was a Bulgarian revolutionary and writer, best known for his memoirs and historical accounts of the April Uprising against the Ottoman Empire. Born on January 2, 1850, in the town of Medven, he played a significant role in the Bulgarian liberation movement and was a member of the Bulgarian Revolutionary Central Committee. His most famous work, 'Notes on the Bulgarian Uprisings', is a primary source for the history of the Bulgarian National Revival and the struggle for independence.
