Hector Malot

Hector Malot was a French writer born on May 20, 1830, in La Bouille, France. He is best known for his novel 'Sans Famille' (Nobody's Boy), which was published in 1878 and tells the story of an orphaned boy named RĂ©mi who is sold to a traveling musician at a young age. Throughout his life, Malot wrote over 70 books, but 'Sans Famille' remains his most famous work, having been translated into several languages and adapted into various media. Hector Malot's writing often explored themes of family, childhood, and social issues. He passed away on July 17, 1907, in Fontenay-sous-Bois.
