Jo Sinclair

Jo Sinclair was the pen name of Ruth Seid (1913–1995), an American author known for her works that address complex issues such as racism, homophobia, and social injustice. Her most famous novel, 'Wasteland,' published in 1946, won the Harper Prize and deals with anti-Semitism and psychological distress. Sinclair's writing often drew from her own experiences as a Jewish woman and her commitment to civil rights and equality.
