Karin Michaelis

Karin Michaelis was a Danish author and journalist. Born on March 20, 1872, in Randers, Denmark, she was known for her novels, short stories, and children's books. Her work often dealt with themes of women's rights and sexuality, which was considered quite progressive for her time. One of her most famous works is the series of books about the character 'Bibbi Bokken'. Michaelis was also a prominent public intellectual and commentator on social issues of her day. She passed away on January 11, 1950.
