Vera Laska

Vera Laska (1917-2009) was a Czech-American historian, professor, and World War II resistance fighter. She was known for her work on the history of the Holocaust and the resistance movements in Europe during the war. Laska was also a survivor of the Nazi concentration camps. After immigrating to the United States, she pursued an academic career, teaching and writing on topics related to history and human rights.
