Jack Williamson

Jack Williamson was an influential American science fiction writer often referred to as the 'Dean of Science Fiction'. Born on April 29, 1908, and passing away on November 10, 2006, Williamson's career spanned much of the 20th century. He is known for his work on space opera and for introducing many concepts that became standard in the science fiction genre, including the term 'terraforming'. His notable works include 'The Humanoids' and the Legion of Space series. Williamson was also a recipient of the Hugo, Nebula, and World Fantasy Life Achievement awards.
