Mika Waltari

Mika Waltari was a prolific Finnish writer known for his historical novels, most notably 'The Egyptian' (Sinuhe egyptiläinen), which was published in 1945. His works have been translated into more than 40 languages. Waltari's extensive output includes novels, plays, screenplays, and essays, and his themes often explore the human condition and the nature of life and history. He was born on September 19, 1908, and passed away on August 26, 1979.
