K. A. Applegate
Katherine Alice Applegate is an American author, best known for her science fiction and fantasy series Animorphs, which she wrote under the pen name K. A. Applegate. She has also written several other series and standalone novels, including the Newbery Medal-winning book 'The One and Only Ivan'.
