Herman Bang

Herman Bang was a Danish author and one of the leading figures of the modern breakthrough in Scandinavian literature. Born on April 20, 1857, in Denmark, he was known for his novels and short stories that often focused on themes of loneliness and social isolation, portraying the lives of marginalized and overlooked characters with psychological depth and sensitivity. Bang's writing style combined naturalism and impressionism, and his works include 'Fædra' (1883) and 'Stuk' (1887). He died on January 29, 1912.
