Anthony Hope

Anthony Hope was an English novelist and playwright best known for his adventure novel 'The Prisoner of Zenda' (1894) and its sequel 'Rupert of Hentzau' (1898). His full name was Sir Anthony Hope Hawkins, and he was born on February 9, 1863, in London, England. Hope studied at Oxford and became a lawyer, but he gained fame as a writer. His works are notable for their wit, storytelling, and well-crafted plots, and they have been adapted into various films and plays over the years. He continued to write until his death on July 8, 1933.
