K. H. Scheer

K. H. Scheer, full name Karl-Herbert Scheer, was a German science fiction writer best known for co-creating the Perry Rhodan series, the world's longest-running science fiction series, with Walter Ernsting. Born on June 19, 1928, in Harheim, Germany, Scheer initially pursued a career in the navy before turning to writing. His work in the Perry Rhodan series, which began in 1961, has had a significant impact on science fiction literature in Germany and beyond. Scheer's contributions to the genre are remembered for their imaginative scope and the creation of a detailed and expansive universe. He passed away on September 15, 1991.
