Jan Parandowski

Jan Parandowski was a Polish writer, essayist, and translator, best known for his works relating to ancient Greece and Rome. Born on May 11, 1895, in Lwów (then part of Austro-Hungarian Empire, now Lviv, Ukraine), and died on September 26, 1978, in Warsaw, Poland. He was a prominent figure in Polish literature, particularly noted for his ability to bring ancient myths and history to life in his writings.
