Norman Holmes Pearson
Norman Holmes Pearson was an American academic, author, and intelligence officer. He was a professor of English at Yale University and played a significant role in the establishment of American Studies as an academic discipline. During World War II, he served in the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the precursor to the CIA.
