Mary Mapes Dodge
Mary Mapes Dodge was an American children's author and editor, best known for her novel 'Hans Brinker, or The Silver Skates'. She was a prominent figure in children's literature in the 19th century and served as the first editor of the children's magazine 'St. Nicholas'.
