Eric R. Kandel

Eric R. Kandel is an Austrian-American neuroscientist and a Nobel laureate recognized for his research on the physiological basis of memory storage in neurons. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2000, alongside Arvid Carlsson and Paul Greengard, for their discoveries concerning signal transduction in the nervous system.
