Juliane Koepcke

Juliane Koepcke is a German biologist known for her remarkable survival story. At the age of 17, she was the sole survivor of the 1971 LANSA Flight 508 plane crash in the Peruvian rainforest. Despite her injuries, she managed to trek through the jungle for 11 days until she was rescued. Her story has been widely documented and she later pursued a career in biology, focusing on mammalogy.
