Robert Falcon Scott

Robert Falcon Scott was a British Royal Navy officer and explorer who led two expeditions to the Antarctic regions. He is best known for his ill-fated Terra Nova Expedition, during which he and his team reached the South Pole in January 1912, only to find that they had been preceded by Roald Amundsen's Norwegian expedition. Tragically, Scott and his party perished on the return journey.
