Tahar Djaout

Tahar Djaout was an Algerian journalist, poet, and novelist known for his works that often explored themes of identity, culture, and politics. He was an outspoken critic of extremism and was tragically assassinated in 1993, becoming a symbol of the struggle for freedom of expression in Algeria.
