Ross Lockridge Jr.
Ross Lockridge Jr. was an American novelist best known for his novel 'Raintree County,' which was published in 1948. The novel became a bestseller and is considered a classic of American literature. Tragically, Lockridge died by suicide shortly after the book's publication.
