Auguste de Villiers de l'Isle-Adam
Auguste de Villiers de l'Isle-Adam was a French symbolist writer known for his plays, short stories, and novels. He is best remembered for his collection of short stories titled 'Contes cruels' (Cruel Tales) and his novel 'L'Ève future' (The Future Eve), which is considered one of the earliest works of science fiction. His work often explored themes of fantasy, the macabre, and the philosophical.
