Melissa Harris-Perry is an American author, professor, and political commentator. She is known for her work on issues of race, gender, and politics, and has hosted her own television show on MSNBC. Harris-Perry is also a professor at Wake Forest University, where she is the Maya Angelou Presidential Chair in the Department of Politics and International Affairs.
