V.D. Savarkar

Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was an Indian independence activist, lawyer, politician, poet, writer, and playwright. He is known for his role in the Indian independence movement and for formulating the Hindutva philosophy. Savarkar was a controversial figure due to his views on Hindu nationalism and his alleged involvement in the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, although he was acquitted of the charges.
