Elizabeth Janet Gray

Elizabeth Janet Gray, also known as Elizabeth Gray Vining, was an American author best known for her children's books and her role as a tutor to Emperor Akihito of Japan. She won the Newbery Medal for her book 'Adam of the Road' in 1943.
