Andrei Sinyavsky
Andrei Sinyavsky was a Russian writer and dissident known for his works of fiction and essays that challenged Soviet ideology. He published under the pseudonym Abram Tertz and was a prominent figure in the Soviet dissident movement. Sinyavsky was arrested in 1965 and sentenced to a labor camp for his writings, later emigrating to France where he continued his literary and academic work.
