Ioan Petru Culianu

Ioan Petru Culianu was a Romanian historian of religion, culture, and ideas, as well as a philosopher and writer of fantasy and science fiction. He was a professor at the University of Chicago and was known for his work on the history of Gnosticism, the Renaissance, and the relationship between religion and politics. His life was tragically cut short when he was murdered in 1991.
