Nader Khalili

Nader Khalili was an Iranian-American architect, author, and educator known for his innovative work in sustainable architecture and earth architecture. He is best known for developing the Superadobe construction technique, which uses sandbags and barbed wire to create durable and sustainable structures. Khalili founded the California Institute of Earth Art and Architecture (Cal-Earth) and was a proponent of using natural materials and traditional building techniques to address modern housing needs.
