Jean-Baptiste Alliette (Etteilla)

Jean-Baptiste Alliette, known by the pseudonym Etteilla, was a French occultist who is credited as one of the first individuals to popularize tarot card reading for divinatory purposes. He published several works on the subject and developed his own deck of tarot cards, which became influential in the field of cartomancy.
